Q: What is my username and password?
A:

  • Angel and Email – firstname.lastname@vilasonline.org for username
  • Netsweeper, Compass, and RosettaStone – firstname.lastname for username
  • Typing Master – firstnamelastname for username

All systems use the mmddyy format of the students birthdate.  All usernames are lowercase.

Q: Will my computer work with the Vilas Online system?
A: Most internet enabled machines work well with the Vilas Online system.  We recommend a Windows XP or higher opperating system, 1.5 GHz or higher processer, 1 GB or more of memory, 60 GB or more hard drive, a DVD-ROM, and it is highly recommended to have high speed brodband internet, or the capibility of utilizing.

Q: What software does my computer have to have?
A:

  • Microsoft Office 2003 SP3 or higher
  • Java 6 or higher
  • Flash 10 or higher
  • Quicktime
  • Internet Explorer 7 or higher
  • Suitable antivirus, spyware and adware protection

Q: How do I get tech support?
A: The tech department for the Vilas Online school is open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday by calling (866) 539-4941.  You will be asked to provide your name, number and Vilas computer number.  The tech department will troubleshoot all issues with any students machine and provide any assistance avalible to ensure that you are able to complete your educational goals.

Q:  What is SchoolReach?
A:  SchoolReach provides school administrators the ability to deliver personalized phone or text messages to every parent, staff, or select groups of people, through an easy-to-use web based system.  The Vilas Online office phone number, (719) 523-4952 will display on your caller ID.  This is not the number that the messages come from however.
